Macoletta Brick Oven Pizzeria: A Cozy Spot for Delicious Italian Pizza and More in Astoria

First time visit, recommended by a friend. Walked in, Friday night before 8pm, party of 2, place was packed but they were able to kindly accommodate us within 5 mints of waiting time. I enjoyed the food, we had meatballs as appetizers, they were ok, sauce was really good and bread was amazing. Our entrees were rigatoni and Orecchiette Alla Zingara, perfectly cooked al dente. Service was excellent, Ándela (I hope I’m remembering her name right) was very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great recommendations! the rest of staff were pleasant and servicial. Restaurant can get very loud (I was there on a casual business meeting). Didn’t leave room for dessert. Tea size was really generous. Will definitely be back to try their pizza, which my friend raved about and seems to be their specialty.

The best pizza I have ever had! What is even more remarkable is that I got the vegan pizza. I did not miss the cheese at all. Fresh tomatoes, arugula, onion, with a hint of balsamic and olive oil. Wow! To top it off, the waitress (Alexandra) was great, very friendly, and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be back.

My daughter’s birthday here. The lovely ladies put a candle on and sing a song for her。the food were so so amazing! It’s way better than I had in Roma. We ordered magritanpizza , octopus salads, seafood pasta( special made), and two homemade desserts. All of them are amazing. Also their service was excellent. Will come back!

We came across this place and it completely exceeded our expectations. The pizza was amazing, I had a cosmo and my partner had an old fashioned and both were perfect. Our server Jovana was on point and extremely attentive. I would genuinely recommend this place to anyone.

The pizza was delicious, I could eat the crust by itself and be satisfied. The cacio pepe was so creamy and the parmesan cup is a nice touch. But the tiramisu is the star of the show! Angela, our server was wonderful. All of her recommendations were delicious. Will definitely be stopping by again.

This place was incredible. I've been here before and once again it has proved to be the best pizza place in NYC. Beet salad was really good and fresh. We knew we had to get their capricciosa and our server Andjela recommended a pizza that me and my friend enjoyed a lot- Algerino. It exceeded our expectations. We finished up with an amazing tiramisu. Easily one of the best pizza experiences I’ve had in general. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends.

The restaurant was nice and clean, and everyone was kind. Our service lady Jovana was very nice to me She smiled, talked kindly, and made us feel happy. Best tiramisu I have ever had, and I’ve been to Italy several times. The cream is perfectly light and the entire dessert has the perfect level of coffee flavor. It must be said the cannolis have a ricotta filling, not the fake sweet cream filling. Amazing. The octopus carpaccio is a MUST have. The pizza (with spicy olive oil) is so good we almost ordered another pie to go. And the rigatoni bolognese was perfectly cooked. If I lived near here I would come every weekend. The staff were also so nice and welcoming.
